Bec fell in love with dance at the young age of 4, when she joined her first ballet class. She studied ballet, jazz, tap acrobatics, lyrical, cheerleading and singing, knowing from early on that she wanted to open her own studio one day.
Bec started her teaching career as a Teacher's Assistant at age 14, and taught as a freelance teacher in Perth, before moving to Adelaide, where she taught for the Dancer's Studio for 3 years. She trained and worked professionally in the USA for 12 months in 2008.
She considers her greatest achievement in dance to be the establishment of Studio Intensity in 2014, and is proud to have maintained its growth both in size and excellence since its inception.
Robyn began her ballet studies in her native New Zealand, completing her BBO exams to Advanced level, and also studying character, modern, folk and show dancing. She taught ballet in Wellington for a number of years, and danced extensively in ballets, musical theatre and corporate shows.
After moving to Perth, and taking a break from dance for some years while focusing on a corporate career, she went back to ballet and jazz classes, and fell in love with the art form all over again.
She has since studied extensively in Perth, the USA and in France, and she firmly believes that dance, and the teaching of dance, involves life-long learning. She resumed teaching ballet in 2011, and has since completed teacher certifications in Ballet Principles in Practice, Progressing Ballet Technique and Elemental Body Alignment System. She is delighted to be able to share her passion for ballet with the students of Studio Intensity.

Music and dance has always been a part of Vanessa's life. As music was her main focus at a young age, she had only become a part of the hip hop dance community at the age of 12. Through the early 2000's she had toured Australia as a dancer and musician performing at theme parks, for RSL of Australia and for the Prime Minister. She then began teaching at community centres from 2005 as part of after school children’s welfare programs as well as at other high schools and dance studios. In 2011, she became a member of a dance crew, Blessed Artistic Maniacs (BAM), where the group was involved in teaching and performing at community events such as Rock the Bridge, school programs and competed in Battlegrounds Australia. This was also the year she began her career as an athlete and coach in competitive cheerleading and dance. She competed as part of a university team and many All Star teams at State, National and World levels. She won multiple national titles in pom, team cheer, group and partner stunting and in hip hop; alongside performing for many local events such as Fringe Festival and AFL and NBL games. 2019 was the year she finally made it to the USASF Dance Worlds Championships, placing 4th in the Nations Cup. 2020 will be her third year with Studio Intensity and she wishes to continue to train and teach - hoping to inspire those who love to dance along the way.
